PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for recording navigation data of a rewritable recording medium are provided by which navigation data is temporarily recorded in a storage having a dynamic memory structure such as double link list structure so as to allow down/up load and rapid parallel data processing according to direct memory access to be carried out. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for recording navigation data of a rewritable recording medium includes a storage unit and a controller. The storage unit has the first memory having the same memory structure as that of navigation data stored in the recording medium, and the second memory corresponding to a plurality of memory regions of the first memory to logically process navigation data, which is temporarily stored, in parallel. The controller downward-records the navigation data stored in the recording medium in the storage unit or upward-records the navigation data temporarily stored in the storage unit in the rewritable recording medium.
