<p>Method and apparatus for Short Message Service between a first mobile station (E-050; E-100) subscribed to a first Public Land Mobile Network (N-10; N-20), and a second mobile station (E-101; E-051) subscribed to a second Public Land Mobile Network (N-21; N-11), wherein said first Public Land Mobile Network and said second Public Land Mobile Network may be based on different standards, wherein the step of forwarding the Mobile Terminating Short Message from a Short Message Service node such as a Service Center SC (E-010) or Message Center MC (E-070) towards the second Mobile Station (E-101; E-051) includes the use of an Interworking Short Message Center IMSC (E-200), which interrogates a Home Location Register (E-081; E-031) of the second Public Land Mobile Network (N-21; N-11) in order to obtain routing information.</p> |
