The invention relates to a method of demonstrating and/or executing conversion of data contained in a first database operated by a first database program into a second database program, whereby a selected subset of data is retrieved from the first database and transmitted to a conversion system, at least one subset of data is converted by the conversion system into at least one converted selected subset of data, the at least one converted selected subset of data is inserted into the second database system, said second database being accessible to a user by means of said second database program, and whereby said second database program is remote and dedicated to the user. The invention also relates to database conversion or an integration editor, whereby a simple conversion may be applied initially, while a more complicated establishment of relations may be postponed to a later stage of the conversion process by means of suitable database program logic control.
