The invention relates to the use of flavone/flavanone derivatives of general formula (I) for the production of medicaments for the systemic treatment and prophylaxis of UV-induced dermatoses, in particular polymorphic light dermatoses and the sub-types thereof and/or the undesired long-term consequences of UV-radiation, in particular light-ageing. The invention further relates to the use of the compounds of general formula (I) for the systemic treatment and prophylaxis of the above UV-induced dermatoses.
