The rotor is held in its radial position exclusively by a carrier (3) fixed against rotation on the shaft (9). Rotor (5) and stator (11) have radial guides permitting axial sliding together. Guidance is disengaged on rotary motion of the electrical machine (1). An Independent claim is included for the corresponding mounting method.
