The invention relates to a method for producing moulded parts (1) in a mould (4), said moulded parts being made of particle foam from polymer foam particles (6) comprising at least one polymer covering layer (3). The particles are melted together at least on the surface thereof, and comprise a closed surface. According to the invention, the moulding chamber (4C) of the mould is filled with expanded, pre-expanded or expandable thermoplastic or thermoelastic polymer particles which are thermally bound into a preform part. The polymer which forms the covering layer of the moulded part is introduced into a liquid phase between the preform part and the surface of the moulding chamber, forming an integral bond, and is hardened on the surface of the preform part. Finally, the moulded part thereby produced is cooled and removed from the mould.
