The fuel injector for a motor vehicle internal combustion engine has a feed (9) from the common manifold opening into a control chamber (11) which can be connected to the injection nozzle (10) feed duct by a valve seat (12) to close the fuel leakage (16) at the feed passage opening. A sealed surface (13) covers the control edges (32) at the outlet of the injector housing (2).
