PURPOSE: A method and a system of providing temporary credit care number using the Internet are provided to prevent any damage due to a leakage of a credit number information. CONSTITUTION: A buyer requests an issue of a credit card to a credit card company using the Internet or offline(S2). The buyer having an issued credit card is connected with a disposable credit card number providing server(S6). The buyer who registered the disposable credit card number providing server is connected with an Internet sale site(S10). The Internet sale site displays an item on a terminal(cellular phone) of the buyer(S12). The buyer determines to buy a certain item among the items provided by the Internet sale site(S14). The buyer requests an issue of a disposable credit card number by connecting with the disposable credit card number providing server(S16). The buyer who received the disposable credit card number buys a certain item in the Internet sale site using the disposable credit card number(S20). The disposable credit card number providing server requests an approval of the disposable credit card number corresponding to the disposable credit card number(S26). The buyer receives an item delivered from the Internet sale site(S38, S40). The Internet sale site requests the price of the item of the buyer from the disposable credit card number providing server(S42).
