<p>An aromatic vinyl resin composition comprising: (A) 5 to 40 wt.% graft copolymer which is obtained by polymerizing (a4) 60 to 15 parts by weight of a vinyl monomer in the presence of 40 to 85 parts by weight of rubber particles (the sum of the monomer and the rubber is 100 parts by weight) having a particle diameter of 3,500 to 20,000 Å obtained by adding a copolymer having acid groups to a latex of a rubber formed from (a1) 50 to 100 wt.% diene monomer, (a2) 50 to 0 wt.% vinyl monomer, and (a3) 0 to 3 wt.% crosslinking monomer to coagulate and enlarge the rubber particles, the amount of the acid group-containing copolymer being 0.1 to 15 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the rubber; and (B) 95 to 60 wt.% aromatic vinyl resin obtained from (b1) 40 to 100 wt.% aromatic vinyl compound, (b2) 60 to 0 wt.% methacrylate, and (b3) 0 to 20 wt.% other vinyl monomer. The composition gives a molding with improved impact resistance while having intact properties of the aromatic vinyl resin, such as heat resistance and transparency.</p> |
