A filler insert for inserting between the outer and inner door cladding has a concertina construction which can be extended over the width and/or the length of the door. The structure has a basic parallelogram formed by four linked struts (5) and fitted between two side strips (3) which are pulled out to fill the required space. The basic structure can be repeated to form an array for a denser filling. The arrays can be in several strips up the height of the door for adjustment for width and height. The outer strips are glued to the inside of the frame forming the door.
