COLOR ILLUMINATION MICROSCOPE

The invention relates to a color illumination microscope comprised of a microscope wherein the illumination lights are colored. The microscope has two light sources each one having a different color, one colored light source that illuminates the object vertically to be used as a bright field illumination, and the second color light source that illuminates the object from a side angle to be used as a dark field illumination. The microscope contains a Charge Coupled Device (CCD) color camera and frame grabber with color buffers. The color camera captures the image onto a single color frame resulting in a single color light buffer containing the image of a pure vertical (bright field) illumination and the second color buffer contain the image of a pure off side angle (dark field) illumination. To achieve the best results, two of the three imaging basic color lights are used-red, blue and green.
