METHOD FOR DETERMINING AN<I> IN VITRO</I> CELL MODEL IMITATING THE EXPRESSION PROFILE OF A GENE OF INTEREST IN AN <I>IN VIVO</I> CELL

The invention concerns a method for determining an in vitro cell architecture model for imitating the expression profile of a gene of interest in an in vivo cell or target cell tissues in vitro, preferably target cells exhibiting a tumoral character. The invention also concerns a method for identifying or confirming a gene whereof the expression is suspected of being significantly different or identical between a normal in vivo target cell and said abnormal in vivo target cell. The invention further concerns a method for selecting a compound capable of being used as medicine for treating and/or preventing an alteration in the expression of a gene of interest. Finally, the invention concerns the use of said determined in vitro models, in particular three-dimensional spheroid-type models as relevant model for studying expression of at least a gene of interest.
