摘要 The top of the peripheral surface of a coin loading roller (4), serving as a rotating frictional surface (40), projects into a stacking section (3) at the end of the coin passage (1). An array of coins (c) in a radial direction are conveyed to the end of the coin passage (1) by a conveying mechanism (2). The rotating frictional surface (40) rotates in contact with the back of the conveyed coin (c) and forces the coin to move on to the rotating frictional surface (40) from the front part of the rotating frictional surface (40) to the back part in the direction of the rotation. In such a way, the roller (4) moves the tail part of the coin upward in the direction of stack so that the head part of the succeeding coin can move into the space between the preceding coin and the frictional surface. By repeating this operation, conveyed coins are stacked in the stacking section one by one. By thus stacking conveyed coins by means of a loading roller (4) having a cylindrical rotating frictional surface (40), the conventional functional restriction caused by the relationship between the length of the teeth of a toothed roller and the diameter of the coin is released.
