PURPOSE: A shock absorber of a pillar trim for a vehicle is provided to reduce the size of a rib by setting the rib crushed doubly in the pillar trim, and to improve stability and reliability by absorbing impact at a collision. CONSTITUTION: An impact absorbing device of a vehicle pillar trim is composed of plural crushed plates(21) formed at both sides of a supporting bar(24) in the middle of a body, and second crushed parts(22) formed in the lower part of the crushed plate to buffer by absorbing shock doubly. A rib(20) such as a buffering member(10) is bumped into an inner panel of a pillar at a collision or overturn, and impact is absorbed with breaking the crushed plates. Shock is damped with breaking plural second crushed plates(23) of the second crushed parts. The interior area of the vehicle is enlarged with compacting the rib, and the driver is prevented from being injured with improving buffering efficiency. The stability and the reliability are improved with absorbing shock doubly at a collision by forming the second crushed parts in the pillar trim.
