METHOD FOR SCREENING WHITE HAIR-TREATING AGENT

PURPOSE: A method for screening a white hair-treating agent is provided by utilization of characteristic of melanocyte of outer root sheath capable of being activated by irradiation of ultraviolet rays. Whereby, the white hair treating agent can be screened by adding various materials capable of activating the melanocyte of outer root sheath to a culture medium. CONSTITUTION: The hair follicle treated with a screening material for a white-treating agent is cultured and then the tissue sample of the cultured hair follicle is subjected to immunohistochemical dyeing. In the culturing process, the hair follicle irradiated with ultraviolet rays and/or non-irradiated is cultured for comparison. The antibody used in the immunohistochemical dyeing is one or more selected from the group consisting of NK1/beteb, HMB-45 and Mel-5.
