PURPOSE: A system for providing user's location information using his/her location and a method thereof are provided so that a user can receive a position information service, by registering wanted positions including delivery places and companies as simple user position identification information, instead of position coordinates. CONSTITUTION: A position information server(11) is connected to an Internet(12) for receiving position information and position identification information from a plurality of clients(13-1-13-n), and registering and storing the input information. A position information database(14) stores and manages the position identification information, position coordinates, user information and numerical value map. A plurality of users(15-1-15-n) register and search the position information from the position information server(11) through the Internet(12) by using the plurality of clients(13-1-13-n). The plurality of clients(13-1-13-n) drive their built-in web browsers according to commands from the users(15-1-15-n) so as to access the position information server(11) through the Internet(12). In order to provide the position information to himself/herself or the other party, the user should register his/her position information to the position information server(11).
