PURPOSE: A method for improving all characteristics of wool is provided by applying a method for constructing skeletal triazine with amino groups of wool and cyanuric chloride or its derivative (including sodium cyanurate) to wool. Whereby, a woven fabric improved in shrink-resistance, form stability and washable function is obtained. CONSTITUTION: This method for producing a washable wool fabric excellent in shrink-resistance and form stability comprises: chemically decomposing chains of protein constituting scales in a state of fiber, a bundle of fibers, yarn or fabric from wool; subsequently soaking the wool in a dyeing bath including cyanuric chloride or its derivative in neutral or weak alkaline water; and reconstituting protein chains by constitution of skeletal triazine according to the reaction of an equation I between amino groups of the wool and cyanuric chloride or its derivative.
