IGNITER SHOCK MOUNTING DEVICE AND METHODS RELATED THERETO

A method of securing an ignition device to a support includes disposing a shock mounting pad (160) between the ignition device (120) and the support (140). The shock mounting pad (160) reduces external loads to the ignition device (120) in a direction transverse thereto thus reducing external impact loads. The shock mounting pad (160) is made of a material having a suffficie nt thickness and firmness to reduce external loads applied thereto.
