The present invention discloses a new polypeptide- murine zinc finger protein (Zfp-1)16, the polynucleotide encoding it and a method producing the polypeptide by DNA recombinant technology. The present invention further discloses a method of the polypeptide for treating various disorders, e.g., fetus deforming, protein metabolism disorder, various tumors etc. The present invention also disclose an antagonist of the polypeptide and its therapeutic action. The present invention further disclose the use of the polynucleotide encoding the new murine zinc finger protein (Zfp-1)16.
