PURPOSE: Provided is one liquid type electro-deposit pigment composition of high anti-corrosive acryl cation which cures at low temperature, has no harmful heavy metal ingredient and in which the dried paint layer consists of acryl-urethane-epoxy structure. The composition is coated just one time because it has weather resistance, anti-yellowing properties and the excellent appearance. CONSTITUTION: The pigment composition comprises: (a) 30-50wt.% of epoxy-modified acryl type cation which has primary hydroxy group and amino group produced by graft reaction with epoxy resin; (b) 10-20wt.% of polyurethane cross-linking agent which is made by the reaction of trimethylol propane with isophorone isocyanate half blocked by methylethyl ketoxime; (c) 10-20wt.% polyurethane cross-linking agent produced by the reaction of ε-caprolactam with hexamethylene diisocyanate or its biuret compounds. The components of the composition also essentially contained are 5-20wt.% of epoxy resin of bisphenol A type with 500-2000 epoxy equivalent weight, 7-13wt.% of hydroxyacrylate, 4-8wt.% of (N,N-dimethyl)- aminoethyl methacrylate, 20-30wt.% of at least one pigment selected from titanium dioxide, carbon black and aluminum silicate, and at least one neutralizing agent selected from formic acid, acetic acid, lactic acid and phosphoric acid. |
