Turntable has rubber-like plate (1) held on pot-shaped support (3), which under loading yields at upper support surface (11) w.r.t support (3). Plate (1) consists of flush embedded friction elements (2) with rough upper surface which takes up load when surface (11) yields. This provides defined, twist-proof hold for bottles as friction elements are supported on support (3) . In non-loaded state support surface (11) and rough surface (2) are on same level so bottle can be pushed sideways onto the support plate (1) without being hindered by friction of surface. When axial force is applied to bottle, the support plate surface yields so that support force is taken up almost completely by fiction elements. With relatively smaller axial force on bottles, a higher surface pressure is applied to friction elements. As the friction elements are directly supported by the support (3), they can directly take up the support force without movement relative to the support.
