<p>A method for the treatment, storage and use of explosive substances (I), in which the substance is dissolved in a supercritical fluid (SCF). Also claimed is a process for the application of (I) to a substrate, in which the substance (I), especially a sulphonylazide dye, is dissolved in SCF and brought into contact with the substrate to be dyed. Preferably the SCF is a supercritical mixture of substances which are gases under normal conditions, or supercritical carbon dioxide, especially proton-free fluid. Suitable dyes (I) are carbocyclic and/or heterocyclic mono-, bi- and tri-functional sulphonylazide dyes, especially, e.g. 2-hydroxy-5-methyl-4'- methoxy-3'-sulphonylazido-azobenzene (IA), 1,2-dihydroxy-3- sulphonylazido-anthraquinone and various other related dyes.</p> |
