Each power facility (1) to be supervised is provided with a remote supervision terminal (2) and a communication unit (3) and when the remote supervision terminal (2) detects abnormality of a corresponding power facility (1), information indicative of occurrence of abnormality is transmitted over a packet communication network (4) to a remote supervision center (6). Upon receiving the abnormality information, the remote supervision center (6) transmits e-mail informing occurrence of abnormality to a portable terminal (10) carried by a responsible maintenance crew and prepares a detailed information content of abnormality in a form accessible from the portable terminal (10). If the e-mail is not replied by the portable terminal (10), the remote supervision center (6) selects another maintenance crew and transmits e-mail to the portable terminal (10) of the selected maintenance crew.
