UV INDICATOR TO SIGNAL THE REDUCTION OF SUNSCREEN EFFICIENCY

A sun protection kit and a method for preventing overexposure to ultraviolet radiation are disclosed. The sun protection kit comprises a sunscreen and an indicator that alert a user when the sunscreen is no longer providing sufficient UV protection and needs to be reapplied. The indicator comprises a photochromic molecule, which changes color when exposed to ultraviolet radiation.
