The process adjusts the zero point of a thermal conductivity measurement cell, used in the working volume of a culture cabinet, to monitor its atmosphere, which contains carbon dioxide (CO2). A reference gas (e.g. air) is introduced. In the new process, following air supply and during a first phase, the chamber is shut off from the atmosphere and from all further gas introduction. In a second phase, following expiry of a given time interval, the cell takes a CO2 measurement. Should the measurement depart from the CO2 zero value, it is stored and used for correction of the measured value. A set band of CO2 measurement tolerance is designated. |
