PURPOSE: An electrode structure of an electron gun for cathode ray tube is provided to improve an electric characteristic of a cathode ray tube by controlling intervals between electrodes and an insulating support body. CONSTITUTION: A cathode is used for emitting an electron beam. The first electrode(104) and the second electrode(105) are used for controlling the amount of the electron beam and accelerating the electron beam to a screen. A tripolar portion is formed with the first and the second electrodes(104,105). An interval between the first electrode(104) and a buried portion is smaller than the interval between the second electrode(105) and the buried portion. Accordingly, expansion degrees due to thermal expansion are different from each other since a buried depth of the first electrode(104) buried into an insulating support body(116) is different from the buried depth of the second electrode(105) buried into the insulating support body(116).
