PURPOSE: A rotary engine having a foldable impeller is provided to obtain efficient power by uniformly supplying air, to save energy by obtaining high rotation and high output, and to generate power using the reserve air. CONSTITUTION: A rotor having a foldable impeller rotates in a rotary engine, and the end of the impeller moves along the inner face of the engine body and performs an explosion stroke by repeating folding and unfolding. The compressed air needed for the explosion stroke is supplied from an air compressor and an air compressive storage tank. When the rotor rotates one time, the air compressor sends the air for explosion stroke to the air compressive storage tank. The compressed air is supplied to the engine from the air compressive storage tank. By realizing uniform air supply and the direct rotational force, the air expansion area is enlarged. Therefore, energy efficiency is improved and efficient power is obtained.
