PREPARATION METHOD OF HIGH REACTIVITY SLAKED LIME POWDER WITH LARGE SURFACE AREA

PURPOSE: A preparation method of high reactivity slaked lime(Ca(OH)2) powder is provided, which is characterized by controlling reaction condition in hydration of unslaked lime(CaO) unlike a conventional preparation. Accordingly the resultant Ca(OH)2 powder has very fine and homogeneous, and 25-44m¬2/g of surface area. CONSTITUTION: The high reactivity slaked lime(Ca(OH)2) powder is prepared by mixing CaO, being obtained by firing CaCO3 at 850-1100deg.C, with 300-500wt.% water, adding additives for 10-100min at 5-40 deg.C, preferably up to 30deg.C., for hydration, and filtering and drying. The additives are 50-150wt.% of low alcohol such as methyl alcohol or ethyl alcohol, 1-3wt.% of hydration retardant(organic acid and salt) such as oxalic acid, tartaric acid, glyceric acid, sulfate, borate or silicate, 1-3wt.% of dispersant or surfactant such as ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol or materials based on triton-X or amine, where the amount of the additives is based on the weight of water.
