PURPOSE: A method for tracing an intelligent call in a switching system is provided to track a call in the middle of intelligent network service in a switching system. CONSTITUTION: In case that a call handling packet have transmitted and received call processing messages with an SCF(Service Control Function) and an SRF(Specialized Resource Function) while executing call processing, the call handling packet calls a TraceEvent(301). A trace interface checks whether event tracing conditions are satisfactory. In case that a certain event tracing condition exists, the trace interface updates it(302). If the trace interface sends a compareCallCriteria signal and a compareCallCommonCriteria signal to a callTrace, the callTrace compares an on-going call to the call tracing conditions and confirms whether the on-going call meets the call tracing conditions(303,304). If the on-going call meets the call tracing conditions, the callTrace creates a relevant object(305). Afterwards, if the trace interface sends a compareCallCriteria signal and a compareCallCommonCriteria signal to the callTrace, the callTrace compares the on-going call to the call tracing conditions and confirms whether the on-going call meets the call tracing conditions(306,307). If the on-going call meets the call tracing conditions, a trace message creates a relevant object(308) and transmits a call tracing result to a CTPM(Call Trace and Path Set_up Management)(309).
