PURPOSE: An information providing method and a system using the Internet are provided to give a homepage to a user registered in the information providing system, to manage information input by respective users through their homepage by a host, and to rapidly and consistently construct a DB by both a provider and the users to provide information of good quality. CONSTITUTION: A home page generator(102) automatically generates the homepage of a user(500) newly registered in an information providing system. The user can input and edit image or moving images to be displayed on the homepage through an image, moving image input/edit part(103). A DB management part(105) updates a DB in real-time using information input through the homepage. A real-time advertisement transmitter(104) inserts an advertisement into a corresponding web page accessed by the user. A DB(107) consists a user information DB(108) in which the personal information of users and the contents of the homepage are stored, and a center DB(109) for storing contents input by all the registered users.
