METHOD FOR MEASURING WALL VOLTAGE AND WALL CHARGE OF PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PURPOSE: A method for measuring a wall voltage and a wall charge of a plasma display panel is provided to measure correctly a wall voltage and a wall charge by defining newly the wall voltage. CONSTITUTION: An external capacitor with predetermined capacity is connected directly on one side of a plasma display panel. A voltage(Vp) between both ends of the plasma display panel and a voltage(Vc) between both ends of the external capacitor(Cc) are detected in a discharge state and a state without discharge according to a supply voltage(Vs). A wall voltage(Vw) is analyzed by using the detected voltage(Vp) between both ends of the plasma display panel and the detected voltage(Vc) between both ends of the external capacitor(Cc). A wall charge(QW,-QW) is analyzed by using the detected voltage(Vp) between both ends of the plasma display panel and the detected voltage(Vc) between both ends of the external capacitor(Cc).
