Little glass objects with colored coating and process for making such colored coating

The invented color coating, made on a portion or all the surface of a small glass article, is transparent and consists of two layers (2, 3) from which the base layer (2) turned toward the glass surface is made of a synthetic clear varnish, preferably epoxy or acryl urethane or polyurethane varnish, while the top layer (3) is colored and transparent, in preferred embodiment made of dyes based on anthraquinone amino derivatives. The color coating can be only applied to a surface of such portion of the small glass article that is free of a simili reflective layer (5), or to the surface of a portion of the small glass article that that is intended for application of the simili reflective layer (5) simili. The above described color coating is prepared by a process during which a cleaned and dried surface of small glass articles is dipped in a primary epoxy or acryl urethane or polyurethane mixture of defined composition, the mixture applied to the article surface is then subjected to the action of heat and after drying of the formed epoxy varnish a coloring mixture is applied to the obtained transparent colorless base layer (2) to obtain a transparent colored top layer (3). Preferably, the glass half-finished products are immersed and protruded from the base mixtures in vertical direction. Aqueous dyeing bath contains 0.0001 to 1.6 parts by weight of a dyestuff based on anthraquinone amino derivatives per 100 parts by weight of water and the action the bath to the small glass articles takes place at the constant bath temperature maintained within 10 degC to 140 degC for a period ranging from 10 seconds to 1 hour. Prior immersion into the dyeing bath, the glass half-finished products can be warmed up thoroughly in advance. During action of the dyeing bath on the glass half-finished products at constant temperature, the bath is vigorously stirred.
