PURPOSE: A 5-wavelength optic repeater is provided to obtain a line saving effect and to improve diversity performance by using two remote repeaters, connected to a base station, in a drop method. CONSTITUTION: Each remote optic repeater(Remote 1,2) receives RF signals(RF0,RF1) from a portable phone doubly, converts them into optical signals(lambda 3 and 5, lambda 2 and 4), and transmits the converted signals to a base station(Master). Also each remote optic repeater(Remote 1,2) receives a signal from the base station(Master) at a wavelength of lambda 1 and transmits it to the portable phone. The base station(Master) receives the dual signals from each remote optic repeater(Remote 1/2), selects the optimum signal between them, and transfers the selected one to the portable phone. The base station(Master) also transmits a signal to each remote optic repeater(Remote 1,2) using lambda 1. A C-WDM(Compound-Wavelength Division Multiplexer) or a WIC(Wavelength Independent Coupler) is used to connect between the base station and the remote optic repeaters(Remote 1,2).
