BEAM DIVISION APPARATUS FOR PERSONAL MOBILE DISPLAY DEVICE USING ONE DISPLAY ELEMENT

PURPOSE: A beam division apparatus for personal mobile display device using one display element is provided to reduce an intensity difference between two divided images and a weight of a personal mobile display device. CONSTITUTION: A light sources(31) is formed with a cold light source such as a white LED(Light Emitting Diode). The beam generated from the light source(31) is collimated to an achromatic lens(33) through a beam splitter(35). The beam is reflected by a reflective type LCD device(34). The beam splitter(35) prevents the reflected beam focused to the light source(31) through the achromatic lens(33). The achromatic lens(33) is used for forming the beam of the light source(31) to a parallel beam and focusing the reflected beam. A reflective mirror(38) of a rectangular prism shape is used for diving an image into two images. The reflective mirror(38) is installed near to a focusing portion of the achromatic lens(33).
