PURPOSE: A suspension device for a washing machine is provided to reduce vibration of a body case by reducing transient vibration and restraining the transmission of vibration to the body case via a suspension bar. CONSTITUTION: A suspension device for a washing machine includes many suspension bars(30) supported on a body case(10) and connected to a water tub(11) and a damper(20) installed in the connecting part of the water tub. A vibration damping unit(31) for absorbing vibration is formed between the body case and the damper. Vibration of the water tub not damped by the damper is secondly damped by the vibration damping unit. By reducing elastic modulus of a suspension system, transient vibration is reduced. Therefore, noise due to vibration of the body case and decrease in the durability of the washing machine are prevented. |
