PURPOSE: A method for mediating article transaction in an electronic commerce is provided to mediate returns and repayment between the purchasers and sellers, after the purchasers purchase articles through the electronic commerce. CONSTITUTION: When a purchaser transmits information on a wanted article, price, shape and size to a main server(10) through the Internet(20), a purchaser database(30) stores the information from the purchaser. When a seller transmits information on a sales article, price, shape and size to the main server(10) through the Internet(20), a seller database(40) stores the information from the seller. The main server(10) purchases the article upon the request of the purchaser, demands article delivery to the seller, and notifies article returns to the seller according to an article return decision of the purchaser. In addition, a plurality of purchaser terminals(31-33) and a plurality of seller terminals(41-43) access the main server(10) through the Internet(20). Accordingly, additional expenses are not generated due to article returns and repayment between the purchaser and seller.
