Shaped jacket for foodstuff articles, process of its manufacture and apparatus for making the same

The shaped component with an irregular outer contour consists of a multilayered plastic foil, is produced by a combined welding and separating process, and serves as a cover for food products. An Independent claim is also included for an apparatus and a method for producing such a shaped component. The apparatus includes a welding and separating wire with an appropriately shaped configuration. Alternatively a computer controlled laser is used for simultaneous separation and welding processes.
