<p>The invention relates to a support for the superstructure of a carriage on a bogie, especially on the bogie of a rail vehicle. A support that is known per se provides a fluid-actuated piston cylinder unit fitted between the superstructure of the carriage and the bogie in addition to a pendular support that is also arranged between the carriage and the bogie, whereby said support is made up of a first supporting component and a second supporting component that is fitted between the first supporting component and one part of the carriage. Each supporting component has a rolling surface that enables it to rest on top of another rolling surface, whereby at least one of two contiguous rolling surfaces is cylindrical and the bearing surface between each pair of rolling surfaces is linear. The objective of the invention is to provide a support that takes up only a small amount of space, whereby the distance between the superstructure of the carriage and the bogie can be very small indeed. This is achieved in the following manner: at least one of the two supporting components is given an annular shape, the piston cylinder unit is fitted inside the at least one annular supporting component, the cylinder of the piston cylinder unit is provided with an outer flange that has a rolling surface on which the rolling surface of the annular supporting component rests and the piston of the piston cylinder unit rests on the other member.</p> |
