NEGATIVE PRESSURE AIR-LUBRICATED BEARING SLIDER

PURPOSE: A negative pressure air-lubricated bearing slider is provided to keep the levitation height at the entire area of a disk, to keep pitch angle at the entire are of the disk, to minimize rolling angle at the entire area of the disk, obtain flying stability in disturbance and track seed motion, and to avoid the deposition of contaminants in a negative pressure cavity. CONSTITUTION: A negative pressure air-lubricated bearing slider has a body(300) flying in a first direction while levitating a specific height along the track of a disk. An air inlet channel(350) of an upstream direction is prepared in the front end center of the body. The air inlet of the air inlet channel faces the front of the body while an outlet of a downstream faces the inside of the body. A pair of negative pressure cavities(340) are formed in a second direction at the bottom face of the body. The second direction is for track seek motion. The negative pressure cavities are placed near the outlet of the air inlet channel. Therefore, rolling angle in the track seeking direction is stabilized and rigidity of an air bearing against disturbance is improved.
