PURPOSE: A keyboard device is provided to execute a separate calculation function together with an input interface function into a computer body by mounting a control unit for separate calculation. CONSTITUTION: A key switch(201) converts various key pressing signals into electric signals. A keyboard controller(202) analyzes the electric signals from the key switch(201). A multiplexer(203) switches transfer paths of the signals. An input/out interface(204) communicates the signals from the multiplexer(203) with a computer body. A smart button(205) sets a mode of a keyboard. A micom(208) controls the transfer paths of the signals to be switched and calculates the input signals using a calculation program stored in a memory(209). Calculated values are stored into a memory(210), and displayed via a display unit(212). A display control unit(211) controls the display unit(212). A power supply(206) supplies power to other components.
