The suspension bracket (3) consists of upper (4) and lower (4) rigid members connected by an elastic system with a central supporting arm (6a) and a supple limiter ring (6b) which surrounds the arm and prevents relative movement between the rigid members in a direction corresponding to an elongation of the arm. The two rigid members also have projecting plates which face one another in a direction (Y) perpendicular to the horizontal axis (X) of the exhaust pipe to limit relative movement of the rigid members in that direction.
