The present invention relates to a glass composition, intended particularly for use in dental technology, especially for preparing dental glass pins and biologically compatible dental supporting pins as well as process for producing such glass pins. Glass material contains a high percentage of boron oxide, which makes it possible to reduce content of alkali oxides. So obtained dental glass pins are biologically compatible and they can be used when preparing tooth bridges particularly when posterior teeth serving as support of said bridge are missing.
