A child safety gate comprises a pair of first tubes 10, and a pair of second tubes 20 which are partially received within the first tubes, and slide out to the width of the opening. They are locked by a pair of locking devices 40 respectively provided on each of the first distal ends of each of the pair of first tubes, and the tube assemblies are then secured in place by a threaded collar 60 attached to a spring 64, which is wound out until the padded ends 112 of the tubes fit firmly within the opening. A pair of opposed supports 30 respectively and pivotably connect to the first distal ends 11, 21 of the first tubes and second tubes, and can be folded when the barrier is stored. |
