The signal analysis method has a signal memory (100), and signal processing circuits. There is a unit (200) calculating the modulation repetition time, and a projection unit (51) calculating the complex signal components. A calculator (520) determines a relative estimate of the signal properties, producing the complex signal shape and the symbol set together with the carrier frequency.
