摘要 PURPOSE: Provided are a metallocene catalyst containing biphenyl substituted cyclopentadienyl group and the polymerization method of olefin by using the catalyst. The metallocene catalyst has excellent catalyst activity and is suitable for polymerization of olefin into high molecular polyolefin. CONSTITUTION: The catalyst is represented by the formula 1:(C5RnH4-nbiPh)CpMeQ2, wherein R is C1-4 hydrocarbyl radical such as methyl and ethyl; Q is respectively same or different and is C1-12 hydrocarbyl radical, hydrogen, or halogen compound; Cp is cyclopentadienyl group; Me is group 4 transition metals such as Ti, Zr or Hf; and n is an integer 1-4. The used mole ratio of alkali metal salt of cyclopentadienyl compound to the transition metal compound is 1:1. The catalyst system consists of metallocene catalyst and supplementary catalyst of organometallic compound such as alkyl aluminoxane, wherein R is C1-5 alkyl group. The metallocene catalyst is similarly prepared by a conventional method of making general unsymmetrical metallocene catalysts and the cyclopentadienyl ligand is also made by the known method in the field. The polyolefin polymerized by the catalyst is from olefin such as ethylene.
