PURPOSE: A security device of a mail message in an E-mail system and a method for the same are provided to convert a message to a specific character string and transmit the converted message by using one table of a multitude of character table. CONSTITUTION: A table storage portion(210) stores a multitude of character conversion table(214) and an encryption key list related to each character table(214). A message conversion module(220) is used for converting a user's message to a special character string. The message conversion module(220) converts the user's message to the special character string on the basis of one table of the character conversion tables(214). The message conversion module(220) reports an encryption key related to the character conversion table to the user. A message recovery module(230) is used for converting the received special character string to the original message on the basis of the character table related to the encryption key inputted from the user.
