START CURRENT CONTROL SYSTEM OF COMPRESSOR AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A start current control system of a compressor is provided to prevent an electric current for running capacitance from flowing toward start capacitance and to remove the melting of a relay by changing a contact to supply the running capacitance to a compressor. CONSTITUTION: A start current control system consists of a power supply(21); a main control unit(31) deciding the driving of a compressor(C); a compressor driving unit(33) driving the compressor; a microcomputer(41) controlling an electric current fed to the compressor; a current limit unit(42) feeding the phase-controlled current to the compressor; a start support unit(44) and a running support unit(43) providing start capacitance and running capacitance to the compressor respectively; and a contact driving unit(45) preventing an inrush current with deciding each capacitance-providing point of the two support units. If the compressor is started, a contact is changed to provide the running capacitance to the compressor. Thereby, an electric current for the running capacitance does not flow toward the start capacitance.
