<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treatment method capable of reducing power consumption while keeping the treatment efficiency of exhaust gas and good in economical efficiency. SOLUTION: After dust is removed from exhaust gas containingt at least dust and a harmful substance, hydrocarbon gas is injected in the exhaust gas from which dust is removed and, thereafter, the exhaust gas containing the hydrocarbon gas is passed through a space in which non-equilibrium plasma is generated. When the exhaust gas passes through the non-equilibrium plasma, OH radicals are formed from the hydrocarbon gas and the harmful substance becomes an active state. The harmful substance of the active state is chemically racted with OH radicals to form a harmless substance. By this constitution, the decompositional removal of the harmful substance is accelerated in spite of reduced power consumption and power consumption for gas treatment can be reduced and economical efficiency is improved.</p> |
