RUST INHIBITOR AND SURFACE TREATMENT AGENT FOR METAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rust inhibitor which gives little load to an environment when it is discharged to the environment, and to obtain a surface treatment agent for metals including the rust inhibitor, which can inhibit a recurrence of rust when it is used as a surface treatment agent in blasting water for removing a generated rust on a metal surface by a water blasting treatment and/or as the surface treatment agent after a blasting treatment, and which gives less load to the environment than conventional surface-treatment agents when it is discharged to the environment. SOLUTION: The rust inhibitor for the metal surface includes glucosamine or glucosamine oligomer which is a chemical compound derived from a natural product such as shells of crabs.
