PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the production process of a casting product, and achieve cost down and abbreviation of lead time, by improving a cast-skin property to improve a surface quality of the casting product and by abbreviating a process such as circumferential cutting in post-process. SOLUTION: A cupper alloy having high cast-skin property is characterized in that an excellent cast-skin property can be obtained by suppressing evaporation of zinc from the surface 7 of an ingot. The suppression of evaporation of zinc 8 from the surface 7 of the ingot, is achieved by adding an additive element having an affinity to oxygen rather than zinc, and forming an oxidized film with the above additive element on the surface 7 of the ingot. The additive element is beryllium, wherein its content is 0.001-0.2 wt.%.
